This is a new category on this blog and I have chosen to launch a new category on this blog and I now give you the first artist: Ms. Choi Jung In. Yes, she designs all the shoes in her castle-like boutique drenched in decadence and danger (even her boutique smells gorgeous). I met her a couple of months ago and fell in love with her work and her demeanor. What I saw before me was the supplest leather combined with original designs, playfulness, greatness.
Those legs belong to Choi Jung In. Great gams!

Wow. I’m astounded by the artistry of the display. I wonder if similar kinds of avant garde displays are happening in shops anywhere else? Is it a trend, would you say? Or do you just have a talent for stumbling upon the unique?

Most boutiques here are very interesting, especially the ones in Apgujeong (where Choi has her shop) and Sinsa-dong. The places I’ve been to love creating an idea for their customer not just “buy me”. You know? Sense you mention it I’ll do another post where you can see a little more of her place. She has candles, fabric, books, etc.
Not bragging at all but I find that I do “have a talent for stumbling upon the unique.” I’m very lucky in this sense and I’ve met some wonderful people because of it. You’re definitely on that list! The first photo, I grabbed some shoes and placed them here and there, but that second and third shot is definitely her artistry. Love those romance novels against her sultry shoes.

    Ciao Bella!

I adore the ankle boots in the first image…I’m no longer coveting flats, but I like the idea of a newsprint shoe…maybe for a very casual day of scurrying about the city. Love it!

And thanks for stopping by! I love all of the great imagery and design inspiration your bringing…

I tried clicking on your name but it’s not guiding me to your website. Forgive me, but what’s your website or blog address? Thanks again!

Have you checked out the Samcheongdong neighborhood yet? Also a lot of cute shops with great displays, stuff I can’t afford, etc.

I do love the shope in Samcheong-dong. I’ll head there this week as I need to meet with a designer (furniture, products) for research.

    Those boots are gorgeous!

    Ciao
