    Hi Felicia,

welcome to blogland. Thank you for linking to me.
I like your blog. You dare to write personal things. I am still not really there…
Seoul is an interesting place. I worked there for a months in 2001. Most Koreans are tough, sometimes even rude - I remember I almost had to fight at the airport to keep my position at the luggage carousel - but lots of tradition and culture and kimchii….

    Take care

    Hello Jasmine!
Contact me and I’d be glad to take you to Papergarden. Love that place!
It’s actually both a part of Shinsadong and Apgujeong.
Send me an email and perhaps we can get together this weekend:

I actually haven’t been to the Galleria, I don’t like department stores here. I prefer small boutiques.
Have a great time and I hope that you get to visit Samcheondong. This place is a must.

Great pictures. Calm is the word that comes to mind when I look at your pictures. I must say you got me interested in photography. I was wondering if you are self taught or took some classes. Any advice for someone just starting out with photography. Thanks and keep the pictures coming. Would love to see them in a book.

Felicia, thanks for your kind comments on my blog! (Apologies for not responding more quickly, I lost your email, and I’m not quite that savvy yet on the blog stuff!)

You are an inspiration to me. There are so many people who live in the city of Chicago, who have never seen it’s beautiful lakefront, or visited the downtown area. That says a lot. They never “get off the block”. People limit themselves to a life seen through others eyes, out fear, complancency, etc. The world is such a huge, beautiful place to learn from and I envy you for having the moxie to try to see and live as much of it as possible….but that’s where your inspiration for me settles in. I look forward to reading more about your life, work and travels, and enjoying your blog.

Felicia, it’s your sister Sylvia. I am so impressed by the brightness and clarity of the photos you’ve taken in this enchanted land of Korea. You are drawing people in with your wonderful tales of the experiences you’ve had in different neighborhoods and with people.

You were in Thailand when we last corresponded and I’m not sure you received the message that I am moving to Korea late July/ early August of THIS year! Where will you be then? Have you made a decision on where life will take you these coming months? I’m trying to find a place in Suwon so let me know if you have any recommendations on neighborhoods. Also, please forward me your contact information in Seoul so I may call you!
