A summer cottage in the city

February 21, 2011

A German architect, Thomas Warnke, moves to Brooklyn, needed a place to live, finds his “summer cottage” on Craiglist people. Yeah, Craigslist! What he’s done with his place, an 1899 carriage house, is nothing short of genius and I’m so in love with the design, the light that permeates his home and it has a studio to boot! He’s another person who loves to have his cake and eat it too. That kitchen is sick! The exterior reminds me of the buildings downtown in my hometown. Hmm, I’ve always dreamed of taking one of those buildings over…more on that later., this one’s for you! Check out the article and other photos here.
