I discovered and learned a smidgen of the life of today’s designer, Omar Joseph Nasser-Khoury who is now showing at The Mosaic Rooms an A.M. Qattan Foundation Project in Kensington. This young artist grew up in occupied Palestinian territory and has said that that experience definitely influences his work. I’m just always amazed how much beauty can emerge from hardship or otherwise difficult situations. Makes me think of the strength of the human spirit and how much beauty is longed for no matter who we are or where we are.

Read more about him and his gorgeous work, textile details here.

The colors are so sensuous. I love that top photo; it’s very Paolo Roversi.
