A Saturday Afternoon In Paris: Bernard Delis!

November 25, 2012

You eat where you can.

I have to speak about my amazing Saturday here in the City of Light. I had the pleasure to shoot Jennifer Shorto (gorgeous and talented!). The shoot was fun as Jennifer is so natural in front of the camera.
Afterwards, Jennifer invited me to have lunch with her and she and I strolled to LE BARON ROUGE for OYSTERS! These were oysters grown by the highly respected and well know oyster farmer, Bernard Delis. People, these oysters were so delicious, so succulent. Mr. Delis prepared the loveliest portions for us, I lost count of how many oysters were joyously eaten. Mr. Delis is the ninth generation of oyster growers in his family from Arcachon. He makes a seven hour trip from Archachon to Paris every weekend and sells his lovely mollusks with a smile and vigor that is rarely seen in colder months. This is his twentieth year at Le Baron Rouge.

With our scrumptious oysters we had pain de siegle bread, topped with Breton butter and a glass of irresistible white wine.

A perfect Parisian Saturday.
