Thankfully yesterday I didn’t have to rely on industrial snacks to get me through all the frenzy that is Maison et Objet. No, this year there were some food themes, a sort of “back to nature” approach that was at once nostalgic yet modern. Honey Honey by , Marc Bretillot, a French food designer and consultant in the food industry delighted us all in giving us “honey mousse” to dry, all on a wax paper spoon. I love discovering something new or a new way to look at a household product. It tasted divine, luxurious even and it was something that only nature can provide. Isn’t that wonderful in and of itself? I’d love to see more of his work at M and O.
