The Smiths Bakery, A Real Sweet Spot

April 25, 2013

As I’m exploring the Left Bank more and more I decided to try the oft talked about bakery on rue de Buci: The Smiths Bakery. I loved the Italiano sandwich I ordered, the fresh bread hugged the rustic ingredients housed inside: mozzarella, roquette, jambon cru. I ordered une formule (set menu) and in addition to my sandwich, I had a choice of a myriad of desserts (all baked in house!). Here are just a few of the choices that I just had to photograph. If you’re strolling along rue de Seine, turn left on rue de Buci and you will have a wholesome lunch American/British style at The Smiths Bakery. Fresh, delicious, all at a great price and it won’t leave you feeling guilty for eating everything with your eyes.

The Smiths Bakery

Ms. Shelton, I have an interview in your city next month, and just booked my ticket to be there May 8-22. I do hope you will have time for a tasty treat with me at one of the fine patisseries you’ve blogged about!

I may focus on health food next week but am not going off the deep end, they will always be sinfully good food to photograph here in Paris. Have a great day!
